Understanding pages and content

Recognize the different kinds of content you can edit.

A page can be an article, a person, an event, an image, or a collection. Zotonic calls each of these a resource.

When you create content, choose its category. The category describes what it is and can change the fields you see and its appearance on the website.

Content can be connected. For example, an article can have an author, keywords, and attached images. These are separate pieces of content that can be reused.

To understand an existing page, check its category under the title and its Connected to and Connected from tabs. You do not need to understand the technical data model to edit its text.
