Introduction to editing with Zotonic
Use the admin to keep your website up to date.
Zotonic lets you write pages, add images and files, and connect content. Your website decides how that content looks to visitors.
Start editing
- Open the admin address supplied by your website manager. It usually ends in
/admin. - Log in with your own account.
- Open All pages to find content, or Make a new page or media to create it.
You may see fewer options than the screenshots. Your account permissions, the page category, and the features enabled on your website determine what is available.
Saving a change to an already published page can make it visible immediately. Start with an unpublished practice page if you are learning.
If you cannot sign in
Use the password-recovery option on the sign-in screen if your site provides it. Follow the email instructions for your own account. If the message does not arrive, check spam and ask your website manager to confirm your account and email address. Some sites use an external sign-in service; use that service's recovery procedure.
After signing in, confirm that you can open All pages. Being signed in to the public website does not necessarily grant admin access. Sign out when you finish on a shared computer.
