Creating your first form
Create an unpublished survey and give respondents a clear introduction.
You need permission to create a page in the Survey category.
- Choose Make a new page or media, enter a title, and choose Survey.
- Leave Published unchecked and create the page.
- In Description, write a short introduction: what the form is for, who should complete it, and what happens after submission.
- Find the Thank you text explanation in the description's Block panel. Write a message such as “Thank you. We will contact you about your visit.”
- Open Questions and add the fields you need.
- In Settings, choose Thank you text only for the result shown after submission. Leave any special handling choice unchanged unless your website manager has supplied instructions.
- Click Save, then View, and complete a test.
For a practice registration, ask for Your name, Your email address, and Would you like a guided visit? Keep questions short and ask only for information you will use.
Saving a form does not publish it. Even an unpublished preview can store a real test response, so use clearly labelled example data. Confirm the response appears under Results before assuming the form is ready.
