Who can see a page?

Check publication and access separately.

A visitor can see a page only when its publication state, publication period, and access rules allow it.

  1. Check Published and the publication period.
  2. Open Settings & more and inspect the page's content group and any access controls your site shows.
  3. Ask your website manager if the page belongs to a restricted group or you do not have permission to change its access.
  4. Test as the intended audience: use a private window for public content, or a suitable test account for member content.

Show private properties to controls fields such as private contact details. It is not a general switch for making the whole page public.

Removing a menu entry or asking search engines not to index a page does not restrict access to its URL.
