Titles, summaries, and body text

Put each part of your text in the right field.

  • Title names the page. Make it specific enough to recognize in search results and menus.
  • Summary gives the main point in one or two sentences. Your site may use it in lists, previews, or introductions.
  • Content contains the main body text.
  • Short title, when used by your site, provides a shorter label for navigation or lists.

Write the title first, then a summary that helps the reader decide whether to open the page. Use short paragraphs and descriptive subheadings in the body.

Save and view the page. A field can be stored correctly without appearing in your site's design. If a summary is missing from the public page, check with your website manager before copying it into several fields.
