Collaboration groups

Work with a group when your site supports group-based content.

Some sites use collaboration groups to bring people and content together. Group membership can affect what members or managers can see and edit.

Open the relevant group using the site's navigation or a link from your manager.
Check that you are a member with the right role.
Create or edit content within the group's intended area.
Check the audience before publishing or sharing a link.

A collaboration group is different from a collection of public pages. Do not assume that connecting a page to a group makes it private. The site's access rules determine that.

Ask a group manager or website manager to resolve missing membership or permissions. The available group screens vary between sites.
