Creating and using collections

A collection is useful for a guide, a series, or a group of related pages.

1. Create a page in the Collection category and give it a clear title and introduction.
2. Open its collection editor or its outgoing Has part connections, depending on your site's admin layout.
3. Add the existing pages that belong in the collection.
4. Arrange them in the intended reading order.
5. Check the collection and each member's publication settings, then view the result.

Your site decides how to display the collection, its children, and any previous/next navigation. A collection does not automatically become a navigation menu.

To remove a member, remove its Has part connection from the collection; do not delete the member page. Reopen the collection to confirm the order was saved. Keep nested collections free of loops: a collection should not contain itself, directly or through another collection. Check a reused page in each collection where it appears.
