Room Configuration

GMT+2
[07:15:38] Ilya Rezvov leaves the room
[08:44:09] Ilya Rezvov joins the room
[08:51:11] andreas.stenius joins the room
[09:14:17] <andreas.stenius> what's the plan to tackle [#308](https://github.com/zotonic/zotonic/issues/308) ?
[09:26:17] maas.maarten.zeeman joins the room
[09:27:26] <maas.maarten.zeeman> SSE could even be nicer than websockets. It looks like it will work behind proxies which you see in corporate environments.
[10:23:40] <Marc Worrell> Andrea: we need to do something there.
[10:23:45] <Marc Worrell> AndreaS
[10:23:53] <andreas.stenius> :p
[10:24:11] <andreas.stenius> Andrea is a /girls/ name
[10:24:15] andreas.stenius gasps :p
[10:24:47] <andreas.stenius> yeah, arjan has assigned it to himself, so I thought maybe he had some plans for it... ;)
[10:25:30] <Marc Worrell> :p
[10:26:45] <andreas.stenius> I've turned on -Wall on gcc... bah, what a bummer. Spent 1½ hour fixing unused vars and differ in signedness and stuff like that now...
[10:27:09] <andreas.stenius> (not zotonic related)
[10:27:09] <Marc Worrell> LOL isn't is nice :p
[10:27:24] <maas.maarten.zeeman> Also nice, turning on -pedantic
[10:27:36] <andreas.stenius> don't give me nightmares :p
[10:27:38] <Marc Worrell> And tracking -O3 bugs, also fun
[10:27:47] andreas.stenius shudders
[10:27:52] <maas.maarten.zeeman> Pff.
[10:28:09] <andreas.stenius> ;)
[10:28:45] <andreas.stenius> I do prefer clean code, but it should've been there from the beginning, along with the -Werror
[10:29:25] <andreas.stenius> enforcing people to not postpone fixing warnings to the never box
[10:29:54] <maas.maarten.zeeman> At uni we where not allowed to submit any code which produced warning with -Wall and -pedantic
[10:30:29] <andreas.stenius> well, with -Werror, it doesn't compile with warnings... since they're being errors ;)
[10:30:34] <andreas.stenius> but that's a good rule
[10:31:00] <maas.maarten.zeeman> Cool.
[10:31:05] <andreas.stenius> but I find the warning about type-punned pointers a bit funny, looking at how you can work around them...
[10:31:28] <andreas.stenius> cc1: warnings being treated as errors
[10:32:19] <maas.maarten.zeeman> It's c, so you are allowed to shoot yourself in your foot. ;-)
[10:33:14] <andreas.stenius> char buf[32]; *((int *)&buf[0]) = 123; // not ok, breaks strict aliasing rules
int *p = (int *)&buf[0]; *p = 123; // OK!!... bah
[10:33:24] <andreas.stenius> indeed
[17:29:19] maas.maarten.zeeman leaves the room
[18:37:00] Ilya Rezvov leaves the room
[18:47:11] arjan joins the room
[18:50:32] andreas.stenius joins the room
[18:54:16] <arjan> I had to restart the ejabberd
[18:54:26] <arjan> I could not join anymore
[18:54:28] <arjan> really strange
