arjan has set the subject to: Zotonic - the Erlang CMS
Room Configuration

[00:04:33] Maas-Maarten Zeeman leaves the room
[00:23:16] maas.maarten.zeeman leaves the room
[09:11:48] arjan joins the room

[09:27:52] arjan joins the room
[09:29:36] kaos joins the room
[10:46:53] <kaos> arjan: I've run into something when pushing our app to the production server... Adding connections won't work... !? it doesn't find any resources from the add connection dialog.. I don't get anything from the logs... not sure where to look first, but I'll have to dig in. Any hints welcome :)
[10:47:39] <arjan> did you try rebuilding the search index?
[10:47:47] <kaos> ah, nope.
[10:48:00] <kaos> just the kind of hints I need, I guess. brb ;)
[10:48:04] <arjan> I dont know, maybe it helps
[10:50:46] <kaos> any way to see when it is done?
[10:50:56] <kaos> I guess it won't take that long for a small amount of data
[10:51:36] <kaos> and in that case, no, unfortunately, no cookie :/
[11:02:23] <arjan> very strange
[11:02:35] <arjan> what postgres version?
[11:02:48] <arjan> does regular fulltext search work?
[11:02:52] <arjan> e.g. in the admin saerch box
[11:03:03] <arjan> if it does, it is somethignn different
[11:03:10] <kaos> I'll look
[11:03:17] <kaos> pgsql 9.1, I think
[11:03:44] <kaos> I have 78 rows in rsc_pivot_queue... which don't seem to get processed...
[11:04:58] <kaos> 9.1.1 to be precise
[11:06:10] <kaos> admin search box seems to work, almost. It depends on what I search for...
[11:06:21] <kaos> as if it isn't quite up-to-date...
[11:08:24] <kaos> I also have one task in pivot_taks_queue, with due date some 20 min back...
[11:08:55] <kaos> how do I debug the pivot task stuff... ?
[11:09:24] <kaos> arjan: ping ;)
[11:09:56] <arjan> hmm the pivot queue should be emptied by itself
[11:10:07] <kaos> so I guessed..
[11:10:10] <arjan> which erlang are you running on?
[11:10:22] <kaos> R14B02... ? have to check
[11:10:25] <kaos> it's a new install
[11:10:44] <arjan> I had an issue with 64-bit R14B2, where timers did not work
[11:10:45] <kaos> yep, R14B02
[11:10:52] <kaos> ouch... ok
[11:11:06] <kaos> sounds like a possible reason
[11:11:08] <arjan> I upgraded to 14B3 and then it worked again
[11:11:24] <arjan> http://erlang.2086793.n4.nabble.com/bug-in-timer-module-in-R14B02-td3608664.html
[11:11:34] <kaos> I took what was in the ubuntu repo... I'll try with a source build instead...
[11:13:06] <arjan> yes I had the issue also with the ubuntu package
[11:13:09] <arjan> but I installed a PPA
[11:13:15] <arjan> let's see which one
[11:13:44] <arjan> https://launchpad.net/~scattino/+archive/ppa
[11:14:20] <kaos> thanks, I'll have a go with that
[11:14:56] <kaos> that would explain why one of my managed rsc's installed as a category (and mentioned correctly) but still wasn't... funny that.
[11:16:11] <kaos> btw, is this a known issue?

[11:16:47] <arjan> hmm never seen that
[11:17:21] <kaos> also, trying to shell into it, won't work. Which might be the reason for that message...
[11:17:35] <kaos> but, I'll have to check again after upgrading to a less buggy erlang
[11:19:13] <arjan> ok
[11:38:51] Ilya Rezvov joins the room
[11:57:32] <kaos> arjan: R14B04 solved it! :)
[11:57:37] <arjan> :)
[11:57:41] <arjan> cool
[11:57:55] <arjan> I spent some hours bashing my head on that as well
[11:58:08] <arjan> but in my case it was mod_development autorecompile which broke after my ubuntu upgrade
[11:58:17] <arjan> it used timers as well
[11:58:27] <kaos> bad bad bad bugs
[11:58:40] <arjan> yeah
[11:58:50] <kaos> thanks for the help, though :)
[11:59:05] <arjan> that might be a pitfall for new users
[11:59:08] <kaos> seems to be some issue with rpc, still...
[11:59:32] <kaos> should add a warning when booting zotonic on R14B03...
[11:59:44] <kaos> bah, R14B02
[12:00:58] <kaos> net_adm can't connect....

[12:03:13] <kaos> bah, not that important right now...
[12:03:18] <arjan> :-/
[12:03:22] <arjan> that's strange
[12:03:36] <kaos> I think I have the same issue on my dev server...
[12:03:49] <kaos> never got my attention, though :/

[12:05:15] vio42 leaves the room
[12:46:02] <arjan> thanks for the tickets :)
[12:46:24] <kaos> no prob. I do what I can to help :)
[12:47:02] <kaos> you've given me the tools to get paid coding erlang and working on zotonic :D
[12:47:56] <kaos> that's worth a lot of flattr your way ;)
[12:49:19] <arjan> heheh
[12:51:10] <arjan> hmm how do I reopen an issue in github..
[12:52:42] <kaos> that should def be possible..
[12:53:35] <arjan> I just created a new ticket and refered it from the other
[12:55:49] <kaos> there is a reopen button in the comment box...
[12:56:12] <kaos> top right corner
[12:56:43] kaos pings arjan... :)
[12:57:16] <arjan> wow, how could I have missed that one
[12:57:19] <arjan> :)
[12:57:46] <kaos> :)
[12:59:29] <kaos> what order do I get from /admin/edit/id when pressing the << / >> buttons? (prev/next in category)
[13:00:40] <arjan> I think modification date
[13:00:43] <kaos> guessing rsc_id order... = created on (I wanted to find the first, or last, in the sequence, so I can step through them all in order)
[13:00:53] <kaos> oh.. ok... or that :)
[13:00:58] <arjan> which is not very handy, btw
[13:01:06] <arjan> if you change a rsc
[13:01:12] <kaos> aha!
[13:01:22] <kaos> that would explain why it's so weird...
[13:01:50] <kaos> would be nice if it used the same ordering as from the pages (/admin/overview)
[13:02:34] <kaos> also keeping track of the qsort arg... :)
[13:03:01] <arjan> definately
[13:03:20] <kaos> actually... all the q stuff from overview...
[13:03:49] <kaos> I'll post a issue for it....
[13:04:21] <kaos> that way you can browse the rows you see from the overview page, in a predicatable manner
[13:04:33] <kaos> predictable*
[13:04:48] <arjan> yep
[13:13:22] <kaos> doesn't seem to be by modified either... have to check the code soon... :p
[13:15:08] <kaos> it's a m.search previous / next for id in cat...
[13:17:00] <kaos> ah, it is by publicate date...
[13:17:10] <kaos> previous Given an id, return a list of "previous" ids in the given category. This list is ordered by publication date, latest first. id, cat
next Given an id, return a list of "next" ids in the given category. This list is ordred by publication date, oldest first. id, cat
